New York State Of Mind

For the card on Friday, there are a couple of WinningPonies.com runners that have my wallet geared up and ready.

Here come a couple of plays that warrant a double look, and possibly a play to start off the weekend early.

In Race #4, take a look at Earle’s First Girl. The number is 7 in your program, but could be #1 in your heart. At 4-1 the price looks right as rain…

This runner sports a 60 speed rating with a DOUBLE ++ sign. This means big improvement is on the horizon. He was claimed from the Asmussen barn at Philly Park.

Rosie Napravnik is the rider, and Steve Klesaris is the conditioner. They have this runner rested for exactly 52 days off, and he has a 45 days or more layoff icon. This starter event should fit nicely, and look for good things to come. I would consult with WinningPonies.com to find value in multi-race exotics, and cap on the gimmicks in race #4 for maximum value.

Turn to Race #6, and you find a hard nose competitor named Precursor. He is entered in a Mdn Sp Wt event, and has a 53 rating with a + sign, to show us good things are expected for this runner. He is #3 when you make your wager, and his last three WP speed ratings have been: 41, 45 and 53. Do you see the increase? This points out an improved runner. He is 3/4 ITM, and has the services of Ariel Smith for trainer Thom Albertrani.

Once again, you will need to dial up WP to max your value with multi-race exotics and smoke the exacta, trifecta and the sweet superfecta.

So, there you have it. A couple of first tier runners given to you with a bow. Now it is up to you to use the rest of the card to kick off 2009 in a winning way. So let’s get started.  Dial up WinningPonies.com and prepare to have a big day at the Big “A.”
