The weather is getting to be perfect in Kentucky. Being from the area, this is the weather we wish for all year long. The only thing better is getting a winner on the house, and building my bankroll for the weekend.

Once again we start at Keeneland, and examine the 8th race. Our top selection in this heat is #2 You Go West Girl (ML 5/2). The race is scheduled for 1 1/16th on the weeds for fillies and mares 4 and upward.

This gal is a New York bred by Mr. Greeley. Rene Douglas is in the saddle, and he is getting his picture taken at a 19% clip. This race starts the Pick-3, and has exacta, trifecta, and double wagering. Race #7 begins the Pick-4, so you will want to download your data to take it down. She has the “has improved” icon in her corner, and comes fresh off of a win at Tampa Bay Downs. Her overall record is 7/11 ITM on the turf, and she looks like a logical contender.

The turf class rating is a crisp 20.2, and she has speed rating of a booming 81+ for this race and 61 for her last three efforts.

I think she has the ability to lay off of the speed, and pounce on them at about the quarter pole. The inside has played very fair to turf runners, and she should get a solid effort by a veteran reinsman who is known for his turf prowess.
