Only two days left for that little boutique meet in Lexington. Fans from around the nation make journeys, and horsemen bring their charges ready for the swelled purses. But, as all things do, it is coming to an end.

Keeneland is special. The history is as thick as the savory burgoo, or as sweet as the bread pudding with Makers Mark topping. The best part is that they run three plus weeks in the spring and the same in October. You can always count on the fun. They really know how to put on a show.

WinningPonies is dialed in on the meet, and the “Big-Un’s” are proving success. There is a battle for leading trainer between Bill Mott, Rusty Arnold, and Mike Maker. You will want to zoom in on their runners the next two days.

In Race #8 at Keeneland on 4/22, check out one of our top tier runners. She would be #7 Communique. She sports a 24.3 turf class rating for the 1 1/2 mile G-3 Bewitch Stakes. This is very solid, and her speed rating is 63+, and 63 for the last three efforts. Her turf record reads 10 /18 ITM lifetime. They say the numbers don’t lie, and they look very nice today.

Garrett Gomez has the assignment for George (Rusty) Arnold. They both are winning in the high 20% range. She has the “should improve” icon which means good things are coming her way.

This gal won this race last April at 4-1. I think as one of our top tier selections, the price may be a little less, but only the odds board will tell.

Oh, by the way. Did you notice her trainer? Rusty Arnold is in the hunt for top honors, and he targets two meets: Keeneland and Gulfstream. I think he may want his name etched on the trophy.
