Peek Into The Preakness

The Derby seems like it was a lifetime ago. I guess putting a bad day behind you is important to every player. I am already looking to the next Triple Crown race.

Mine That Bird is heading there. He now has the T/C fever. Hey, why not? He is the only one who can pull it off…

I am liking the looks of a few runners heading to Maryland. But one has caught my eye and for good reason.

His name is Hull. He is unbeaten in three starts, and has a combined 16 lengths victory span in those races.  He is the son of Holy Bull, and he should enjoy the course in Maryland.

Dale Romans is the conditioner, and he knows how to bring them ready. He skipped the Derby trail and targeted the Derby Trial, which has been a nice prep for the Preakness. The others are coming off the most demanding race of their life in two weeks, and he scored by four lengths on April 25th, at Churchill.

Romans loves the Louisville track, and his record speaks for itself. He has retained the services of Miguel Mena who is making his presence felt at many tracks. He is not at the top of the chart yet, but you can bet your socks that he will ride the race of his life on a live horse for round two.

So you decide. No matter how good the runners coming from the Derby will be, there will be an unbeaten colt coming in fresh to make them break his unblemished record.
