I like some runners at New York on Thursday. They are in the opener and the last race. I would dial up WinningPonies.com to fill in the remainder of the card. This should lead to a nice kickoff for the big weekend.

Let us begin with the 1st at Belmont. Take a look at #3 Victorious Speed. Comes fresh off of a 3-month-layoff, and this runner does very well rested. Think about it, who doesn’t do better with a vacation?

Has the services of John Velasquez, and mark the date and time. This guy is about to go on the tear of the year. He is so talented, and quietly goes about winning more races than three riders at once. Look for an effort of going to the lead and not looking back.  Add in a sharp workout on 7/10, and you have a nice wager to start the day.

The end of the day brings a chalkster. Being 4-5 is no punishment, as long as Superfectas and Trifectas are always offered. #4 Khan of Khans should give a very solid account of herself on this day, and the return to the grass will be a welcome home.

A third place finish last out over the slop on 6/1, should make her that m0re attractive. Her breeding says she is in a class by herself, and that should be the case.

Well, there you have it. The beginning and ending for the day. WinningPonies can carry you the rest of the way. There is a sweet weekend on tap and make your plans now. Be sure to tune in for Rosemary Homeister on the radio show on Thursday night.  We talk horses, have guest callers to cap for the weekend, and finish of with a wagering plan for some of the biggest races.
