I love to bet the ovals of the Chicago-land area. I started wagering at Hawthorne more when Arlington was shut down, and made many treks to Sportsman Park. They were even better when Arlington came back bigger and better. Overall, I love the circuit. It holds history, and there is plenty of value to be had.

Here are a couple of runners to make your Friday sweeter. I would compare them with the other tier levels from WinningPonies.com, and take a shot with them.

Go to Race #2 at Arlington, and focus on #6 Erdiston. Here is an 8-year-old runner, who repeats at the same level. He is trained by Nick Canani. His numbers speak for themselves as he is winning at a 50% clip this meet. E.T Baird is in the saddle, and he is having an incredible year.

The second runner who needs a look-see is found in Race #9#4 Whataclassybroad. This is a four-year-old runner from the stable of Kelly Ackerman. This Yankee Gentleman daughter has found the winner’s circle six times from 14 starts.  She came back to the game at Churchill on the turf, and gets to run at 5 panels on the greensward today. She is dropping in class, and has a race under her belt.  I think that 8-1 is a very nice price, and should give a good account of herself.

So, as always, be sure to download your information. It always helps to prepare, and having your info in hand is half of the battle. Take a look at where these runners fit in the tiers, and decide how you want to mix them in your wagers. Let’s start the weekend a day early, and get the ball rolling.

Good luck!
