It is time to get your grass cut, and get your honey-do’s finished. The track is calling, and WinningPonies has got the answer for your weekend.  Just download your data, load up your bankroll and away you go. But before you go, here are a couple of reasons to make post time.

Saratoga’s second race on Saturday runs at 1:31pm. I suggest you get to the track a little early to stake out a good seat, and get ready to win.

Let’s begin in Race #2 with #7 Brother Bird.  This is a two-year-old colt by Yoanguska. They paid $485,000 in the sales ring for this guy.  His dam was unraced, and she is 100% with her babies. Add in a nice work on 8/9/09, and this signals that he’s ready to roll. Pletcher is the trainer, and he scores 18% a winner right out of the gate. Dominguez is in the saddle, and this guy is lighting up the world. Anywhere he goes, he wins….. The price of 4-1 is sweet…..

In Race #3, there is a chalkster that can string together any multi-race gimmick.  He is a New York-bred called #4 Hot Minute. He is by Hook and Ladder, who has been a very productive sire for NY-breds….  Dominguez in the saddle for Dutrow, and they are winning at a 50% clip together. Not bad, and this is the lesser of the Dutrow brothers. He really rides hard for Anthony, and they can flat out change the odds board.

OK, so there is a good start on the house. Be sure to see where they line up in the tier levels, and decide if they fit your needs. W/P can, and will have some prices to go with them. Race #2 begins a Pick-4, and there is a running Pick-3. If all goes well, this could be a nice start to the card.

We have a crisis in Arizona racing. We have a culture of corruption, which runs so deep, it is scary. Our Chief steward is the worst crook in Arizona racing history. Our HBPA is corrupt, $100,000 is MISSING and unaccounted for. When we asked to see the HBPA book, they “stonewalled” us for months. Then when they finally relented, they didnt have all the records ready.
Arizona is trying to get slots, which would be a boon for racing. Our owner is a greedy, selfish miser, who HATES to share.

Is it like this ALL throughtout racing?

I would contact your Arizona Racing Commision. Don’t let this problem go unnoticed, or don’t allow this issue to get swept under the carpet.

Racing that has the chance for slots is going to be under the microscope. They will examine ALL issues to ensure the integrity of the sport. Not all tracks have this kind of issue. But no matter what sport, greed and corruption can pop up and show its ugly head.
