The Travers Stakes should, and will be run. No matter what the weather, there is a great day of racing on tap for you. That is, if you prepare yourself with the selection box on the form that allows you to change up track conditions. Mr. Weatherman is calling for an all-day rain, but it could be just fine with you, if you prepare ahead of time.  Here are a couple of runners on the card that may just enjoy the off going, and the best part is that they are on the house!

The mud-bath begins at Saratoga in Race #2 with #7 Much Rejoicing.  Here is a two-year-old filly by Distorted Humor. She is a crisp 6-1, and has the services of Alan Garcia for her first time out. She had a “monster workout” on 8/24, going five panels in 59.4 handily in the mud.  Her sire and dam were both suited for the off-going, and her dam has 3 winners from 5 starters.

There is a nice price runner in the 7th race. This is a third tier runner by the name of #2 Trix in the City(10-1). Ramon Dominguez is in the irons, and her sire and dam both took to the mud winning 33% and 21% respectively. This filly by Friends Lake has a 53 speed rating for today, and a 50 median for the last four. She is #2, but may be number one in your selections after you see a couple of races run.

Race #10 brings along a top tier runner. Go to #4 Indian Blessing ( 8-5). She is coming off of the poly track, and is 2/2 at Saratoga with wins and victories on an off-track.  She sports a 53+, and this means that a good effort can be heading her way. If the clouds open up, it could be a big plus in her corner.

The track should be wet, based on the weather forecast. You will definitely want to check the selections for more than just one track condition. This could be your answer, and it may payoff all day long. There is a $1-million dollar guaranteed Pick-4, and you will need to dig into the tier levels, as value may be found with a soft to yielding turf course in the G-1 action.
