See The Show

Zenyatta and Rachel are resting comfortably after the Eclipse Awards. Little do they know what awaits them for the future. For that matter, neither do we…..

Jerry Moss, co-owner of A&M Records, has tossed out some hints that they will be where Rachel will be. If they are entered on dirt, so be it. If it is on broken glass, the moon, or Iraq. they will seek her out…

I have read this many times before. “Be careful what you wish for.”  I would like to see them do battle for the sport, not for the ego of an owner. I want to see history write another chapter, and I don’t want to hear an “I told you so story.”  The game needs them. The fans want them. The tracks that get to showcase the race will be able to draw HUGE crowds. It stands that everyone will win with two of the best females on the card.

I am getting the feeling that this is feeling like “Rocky XI.” I think a well planned out course would serve racing better. How about what was originally brought up? How about a race on synthetic, dirt, and turf? This would give the gals the chance to prove themselves over all kinds of surfaces and have no excuse. The rotating schedule could be a 4 or 5 race plan. It would all culminate with a trip to the Breeders’ Cup at Churchill Downs. This is of course if all goes well, and if they stay healthy.

Just think, you may be seeing the newest chapter in racing history. Wouldn’t it be neat to see the gals take the track and do their best? I love the sport, and this can be another crowning moment that will draw new fans.
