I love the New York circuit. I follow it all year long, and when Belmont comes into play, the biggies are heading back to town.

Wednesday is always my get back in action day. New York is up, and I start looking to bankroll for the weekend.

Belmont

Race #1 – #4 – Najarans Star (3-1).

Dutrow is the trainer, and he is 3 wins and 2 seconds from 6 races. You have to love the consistent way, and Dutrow scores big in New York. This is his town…. She was coming off a layoff, and had a troubled trip. R.D. scores 38% off  similar layoffs. Ramon is a 44% winner riding for this guy, and you can’t overlook that fact. She should sit close up to the pace, and pounce when the going gets hot.

Race #9 – #7 – Diamond Dina (5-2).

Goes from a route to a sprint, and Dutrow is a 31% winner on this angle. Dina seems to do very well running fresh off a layoff, and that may be the needed tonic. Winning rider Edgar Prado is in the saddle, and he can get runners to do his bidding in the “Big Apple.” She has taken down 4 out of her last 5 non-stakes efforts, and that can give you an idea of what Dutrow is planning to do in this race.

Take a look at the racing. I love New York, and there is great value to be had, as the pools are always nice. If you are looking to make a bet, it will not scramble the pools as other tracks with smaller numbers. WinningPonies scores well in New York, and I would be sure to look over the entire tier levels. You may find that double digit runner in tier two or three that fits well into your wallet.

Good luck!
