Aaaaaaaaahhhhh!  – Only a few more days and the weekend will be here. It has been hot throughout most of the nation, and so will the racing action…..

Belmont

Race #6 – #6 Al Muhtasib (5-1).

Ramon Dominguez for Kiaran McLaughlin, and they roll at 21% and 53% ITM on the weeds. Makes a dirt to turf run, and was a beaten favorite last out. Worked a bullet on June 8th, and 1 minute flat is a smart work. $520 sales purchase, and is a speedy colt who is 2/3 ITM. This looks to be a solid bet….

Race #7 – #7 No Rhyme or Reason (7-5).

Dominguez in the irons for Carl Domino. The runner is 2/4 lifetime, and was always running over her head in class. Her last race, she was heavily bet, and had a very nice 3 wide late kick. I like the level she is at, and I would expect the big run down the lane.

Race #8 – #2 Framed ( 5-1).

J.J Castellano in the saddle and Mark Henning is the trainer. They team up to be 23%, and 54% ITM. 4/6 lifetime, and faced deep closer Ice Box in the past in 2009. He looks solid, and has the ability to fly late in the lane. 41% ITM, and with route runners, that is a good clip. This is a good price, and I would look for this play to be a major player on this day. I am going to fire away if the price is right…..

Only a few days away, and there will be some super summer running. Be sure to tune in this week to our Internet radio show as Tyler Picklesimer / Director of Racing at Colonial Downs will talk about the $500,000 race this Saturday. He is well known in the industry, and will be one of the bigger players in the game down the road. So, enjoy your Wednesday, and be sure to tune in for more updated action.

Good luck!
