Hump day is here, and it will be hot around the United States. Just bear it as everyone will be sweating these next three days.  So, let’s go to ” Big Sandy” and make some plays.

Belmont Park – Wednesday

Race #3- #5 Every Little Thing (8-5)

Ramon Dominguez ( 22%) up for Gary Contessa (17%). Huge drop in class going from alw 39k down to claiming 10k. Steadied last out, and if you go back two races, you will see that she bobbled 4 wide and that lately trouble has been her name. If you can travel back to April 16th and take a look at a similar level, you will see that she wins by 10 lengths. I like her chances today with a clean trip.

Race #4 – #4 Position Limit (4-1)

Johnny V in the saddle for Todd Pletcher (36%). They win at 35%, and are ITM at 67%. With numbers like that, you can say that early retirement could be an option. First lasix teamed up with a bullet work. This is good news, and more than not it translates into a hot effort. The work was at Saratoga, and the Oklahoma training track is DEEP. If you can post any solid numbers there, you are getting a bonus. The sire wins 17%, and Pletcher in debut action is an 18% roller. The daughter of Bellamy Road looks pretty good, and to me should be a solid value play. I don’t know if you will get close to 4-1, but if you do….. Bet early, and bet often…..

Race #5 – #2 Adagio (2-1)

John V for Dick Dutrow. They win at 50% and are 50% ITM. 1/2 at Belmont, and is 2/2 on the greensward. Last out there was a 5 wide effort rolling down the others. Has not raced in 46 days, and Dutrow is 23% with the vacation runners.

So, bear the heat and stay cool with a few winners. Be sure to flush out the tier levels, and find value anywhere you can find it.

Good luck!
