Saratoga Racing

It is hump day, and The Spa can get you through your ho-hum blues. Only a couple of days until the weekend, and in the meantime, there is always action in New York.

Saratoga – Wednesday

Race #2 – #4 Grosse Point Anne (5-2)

Julien Leparoux in the irons for Ken McPeek. The dam has a rate of 50% winning with her babies, and there is a drop in class from mdn 50 down to mdn 35,000. If you look, you can see Gulfstream in her background, and all shippers first time from the Sunshine state have been doing well. This filly will come flying late in the lane.

Race #3 – #6 Not For Money (5-2)

Jose Lezcano up for Rick Dutrow. They roll at a 25% clip, and 75% ITM. Dropping down from clm 20 – clm 12,500. Nice work on 7/22, and 48.2 is solid. He took off 2009, and still seems to get the job done.

Race #6 – #7 Charmed (5-1)

Johnny V in the saddle for David Donk. Mdn 60 down to mdn 25, and is a big closer. Pace will be the factor, and raced two times on the inner turf. I like the connections, and they should give a solid account of the runner today.

Race #7 – #1 King Rock (6-1)

Ramon Dominguez up for Anthony Dutrow, for a 71% ITM rate. 3-yr-old colt by Rock Hard Ten, and goes three off and blinkers off.  Dirt to turf, and the sire is a 20% winner on the weeds. Big dropper, and his back PP’s show that he faced off against Exhi and Drosselmeyer.

Good luck!
