Turfway Park LogoThe poly track can play many ways in Kentucky. In the fall, it plays for closers, and in the winter, it tightens up and allows speed to rule. Just keep your eye on the weather, and you won’t get fooled again.

Turfway Park – Friday

Race #2 – #7 Seaside Storm (3-1)

James Lopez in the irons for Brain Waltz (20%). 2nd time off the shelf, and they score 25% on this move. Made a middle move last out, and that gives more gas in the tank the next trip. The trainer is 23% and 60% for the year. Looks to be a stalking sort, and should enjoy a great trip.

Race #3 – #2 Big Jim K (9-2)

Pablo Tolentino up for Keith Kinmon. They roll at 24% and 45% as a team. 1/2 at TP, dropping down two classes, and is a speedy stalker. The trainer is doing well, and he always brings his horses ready. He has the luck of ten men, and Kinmon is always smiling.

Race #6 – #11 Dancing Mary (5-1)

Perry Outzs is in the seat tonight for Barb Riley. Middle move last time out, and you hear this more in my handicapping than ever. It shows me that a horse is getting better. The running cycle is looking good for this guy, and the rider wins 20% with routers.

Race #7 – #7 Innocent Kitten (3-1)

Victor Lebron for Mike Maker (27%). They team up for 61% on the year. Went from 5 1/2 to 1 mile on the all weather. May improve with surface switch, and drops down two classes, where they score 29%. 2-yr-old daughter of Kitten’s Joy, and is making a move to the poly. They are all bred for the weeds, and they must have found a new stride for her.

Good luck!
