$300,000 up for grabs, and it all goes down this Saturday. If you balk at $300,000, you can take a look at the extra payoffs. So, if you are interested, here is a ticket that you may want to take a look at before going to the windows.
Belmont Park – Saturday
#1 Don Balcazio
Maragh in the saddle for Clement, and they are winning 24% as a team. Draws the red-hot rail on the turf.
Eibar Coa is riding below his par. He is due to wake up, and this gelding has some glimmer to his pp’s.
Leparoux on a runner whose last start was at Gulfstream. Every first timer from that oval has come back to win at first asking.
#3 Devon Rock
The dropper in this field, and shows good speed for the son of the giant killer. Makes a big drop in distance as well.
#4 Cherokee Speed
Even effort last out, and Martin Garcia in from California to take home some east coast money.
Made a middle move last out, and Prado rides well for Carl Domino @ 33% a winner. Solid performer, and may get to them in final strides.
Leparoux in the saddle as Gomez is off…. The last three races have shown promise, and I see more coming his way.
3/3 ITM for this filly, Maragh is on. Speed all the way, and is cutting back from 7 panels to 6 1/2. This should allow for gas down the lane.
Martin Garcia and Baffert come to town…. A $475,000 sales purchase, and speed to burn. Garcia has found his new man to ride for, and I think things are just getting good.
Victor Santiago up for David Donk. Donk does well with droppers on the turf.
#4 Tiger Willie
3/4 ITM at Belmont, and Cohen rides for John Parisella. With racing luck, it could be a banner day.
Leparoux in the conditioned turf event. Looks like the closer. I see him being a major player.
#10 Brad’s My Hero
Another deep closer for Jose Lezcano. I don’t like the 10 hole, but this will bring a nice price. If it all falls apart, he can get a piece of the action.
Ticket total = 3 x4 x 2 x4 = $96
Good luck, and be sure to check the tier levels!
