Monday will begin a day of dieting and back to work for many. The Thanksgiving hangover is done, and it will be back to the grind as we get back to a routine. So, with that in mind, let’s start the week with a couple of solid plays at Calder.
Race #6 – #4 Intense Elvira (2-1)
A bad outing last out, and she finished a dismal 8th place. To add to the beating, she raked up a 15 3/4 length loss…. She goes back to sprinting today, and that may fit her pistol, as she has been going long in the last two. I see this speedster enjoying the change of distance, and trainer Antonio Sano wins at 32% going from a route to a sprint. She is classier than many others in this heat, and the barn wins 23% going short. I am going to use her with other tier level players that offer a price.
Race #7 – #2 Too Experience (8-5)
This guy is 5/6 with wins, and that is good at any level. He was walloped in the Foolish Pleasure Stakes, and exits a nice victory at the starter allowance level. He came flying late and got up in the shadow of the wire. I like his style, and the race seems to set him up. At 8-5, you will need to use the other tier level prices to roll this 6th and 7th race burrito into a nice score.
Happy Monday! Best of luck!
