Nothing like having a few “Big Easy” plays to get the week rolling right along….This track has a magic spell on me, and it seems like with each passing week that I start playing more and more over this long-stretch oval.

Fair Grounds – Wednesday

Race #1 – #1 Crystal Moment (7-5)

2nd time off of the poly track, and Cecil Borel has Jamie Theriot in the irons. I like the third off of the layoff, and ran a great place effort at Churchill Downs. They play similar in style, and I think this 3-yr-old son of Distorted Humor can get his game together. He is a $205k sales purchase, and has ran on the turf, poly and dirt. He worked 7f on 11/27, and you seldom see works at this distance and cut back to 6 panels.

Race #3- #8 Dublin Da’bet (5-2)

Thom Amoss is the trainer, and he will be the special guest on our show this week. Beaten favorite last out, and is 8/11 ITM. He is a speedy sort, and ships in from Hoosier Park, where the barn wins 28% of the time. I like the class level, and this should fit his whistle in this heat. Theriot in the saddle is a bonus, and he knows the oval well.

Race #4 – #7 Ide Miss Dixie (5-1)

Rosie Napravnik has the call, and trainer Ducoing is winning 33%. They hook up for an overall 36%, with a small sampling as a team. 2nd off a layoff, and back in against L.A.-bred animals. Closed well in his last effort, and Rosie wins 20% on the weeds.

Good luck!
