The weekend is here, and there is nothing like having some sweet plays to make your day better. As always, be sure to check all of the tier levels, and pay attention to the new stats with mega information for the rider/trainer. I think you will really enjoy having these at your fingertips, so buckle in and enjoy the weekend!

Fair Grounds – Saturday

Race #1 – #4 Early Return (8-5)

Margolis is the trainer (24%) and he loves the oval….  His go-to guy Bridgmohan is in the irons, and they have won over 35% last year as a successful team. Gets an extra 1/2 furlong to run at, and I see a clean break from the rail and an up close trip to the winner’s circle. Start your day off right with this runner in exotics.

Race #4 – #5 Teche (5-2)

Karl Broberg is the conditioner. Just missed in the his maiden break, and then came back in fine fashion to roll going a mile on the weeds. In this race, he came flying from out of the clouds and got up by a neck. He has a great record winning 28% off of the claim, and this gives me confidence. If you get 5-2, bet early and often.

Race #5 – #11 Lumberyard Jack (6-1)

Showed blistering turn of foot in his two turn debut. Trainer Mike Stidham wins 17% the second time going long, and 25% when he enlists the services of Rosie Napravnik. I think the 11 post may be tough to overcome, but at this price it may be worth the attempt. This may be a race where you seek out some of the blockbuster tier picks to light up the board.

The weather has been ugly all across the country, and now more than ever it is good to use the change of track condition selector for a whole new set of predictions. This is a one-of-a-kind tool, and it keeps you up to the minute for your day at the races. Look over the rider / jockey stats to get a new look at how your runners are coming along. I find this to be helpful, and I think you will make this part of your handicapping.

Good luck!
