Meydan Racecourse, DubaiI have been looking at some plays that really attract my interest, and more importantly my wallet. Sometimes it is better to select a few races and make a couple of prudent wagers. It sounds like parlay time, and what better time than now.

I would suggest picking two –  three tracks, and no more. I like place parlays, and they can pay much better on the bigger days where pools swell.

Here are my tracks and plays:

Meydan

I really like playing this day. If you look into the stands, you will see about 60,000 racing fans. Here are my place bets:

Race #7 – The Dubai Classic: #5 Redwood / 8-1

Exits Hong Kong, and could pop at a solid price.

Race #8 – The Dubai World Cup:  #7 Musir / 5-1

Soumillon up for Mike DeKock. Loves the synthetic, and 2/2 at the distance.

Turfway Park

If all goes as planned, this should be a HUGE day for Alan Garcia / Graham Motion

Race #8 – Bourbonette: #3 Marion Ravenwood

3rd off the layoff and is a Tampa invader. Lightly raced and has great connections.

Race #10 – Vinery Racing Spiral Stakes – #4 Animal Kingdom

If you look closely you will see two great efforts on synthetic. I like the victory at Keeneland going a 1 1/8. Once again, Garcia and Motion hook up to win it all.

Fair Grounds

Race #10 – #9 – Wilkinson

Garrett Gomez in the saddle, and everywhere he goes he gets a special nod. This runner likes to close, and there is plenty of stretch.

Best of luck !!
