Belmont ParkYou gotta love New York…. Every Saturday, you can count on having a guarantee for the final P-4. They always have some great races, and this week is no different. So, sit back and grab your pen, and let’s take this gimmick to the house.

On Friday, there was a sealed off track and weather looks to get a little better for Saturday. I would look for a good track, and a turf course with some give to the ground. But, always remember to check your track condition selectors!

Belmont – Saturday

Race #7 – Mdn Sp Wt – 1 1/16th Inner Turf

Let’s use:

#8 Tropical Jetset (7-2)

7/10 on the turf ITM, and has a hot hand in the irons with Dominguez for Schettino. This NY filly looks to benefit by the drop back into state-breds, and owns a sweet 49+ speed rating from WinningPonies. Should Improve icon is alerted, and I think she is a player.

#5 Soinlovewithuam I (5-1)

Speedy filly for Linda Rice and Johnny V. – Third off a layoff, and she bats 24% a winner going sprint-sprint-route.

#1A Little Reya (6-1)

This gal ran solid on two races on the soft turf, and a back-up from 1 1/8 to 1 1/16 may get her rolling sooner.

Race #8 – Caress Stakes – 6f Turf

#3 Rose Catherine (5-2)

This was WinningPonies’ best play this time last year, and she rolled. John Velasquez for Pletcher (28%). 2/2 at Belmont, and is 2/2 at the distance. I would look for speed, and the drying turf course may play better to her liking, as you can toss out that yielding effort two back at Pimlico.

#4 Much Rejoicing (5-1)

Alan Garcia for James Toner (26%). Cuts back from a mile, and should relish the shorter distance.  Her dam has 5 turf winners to her credit.

Race #9 – Man O’ War (G1) – 1 3/8 Inner Turf

#5 Gio Ponti (2-1)

This guy loves this race. It looks as if the barn is seeking another trophy. 2nd off the layoff, and Dominguez knows the course. 9/9 ITM on the Belmont green, and the distance is 2/2 in wins. Loves the course, and enjoys the green. What more could you ask for? I like him as my key, and if he loses, it will make the payout huge. But, I see him getting a picture taken…

Race #10 – Cond $10,000 company – 6f Inner Turf

This race is wide open for the closer. I am going to spread out for my 50-cent ticket:

#3 Mor Chances (3-1)

#7 Archive (8-1)

#6 Prowler (20-1)

#1A Follia (6-1)

Total = $12 for 50-cents, and $24 for the dollar wager. Be sure to watch the track condition, and always check the weather tab to stay on top. You may need to adjust the track condition selectors for a new set of EZ-Win forms, if needed.  So, enjoy the day and take it to the window because, “you can’t win it, unless you get in it.”

Best of luck!
