With every passing week the races will get a little bit better. This weekend is no exception, and before you make your first wager, take a look at the E-Z Win Forms to get the scoop on the best way to capture the elusive value all players seek.

Golden Gate

Race #8 – The El Camino Real Derby (G3) – 1 1/8 miles – 7:43 p.m. EST

#6 Lucky Chaparral (7-2) – Alan Garcia has the call for Graham Motion (23%), and you can bet the runner comes into the race properly prepared. Goes from turf to synthetic, and was a beaten favorite last out. Go back two races in the PP’s and you will see a slow break in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf. Last out, there was another slow start, and this son of High Chaparral came rolling late. If they get a clean break, and with a little racing luck, his second start in 2012 may be more promising.

Santa Anita

8th Race – The Santa Maria Stakes (G2) – 1 1/16 miles – 7:07 p.m. EST

#6 Great Hot (3-1) – Chantal Sutherland in the irons for A.C Avila. 4/4 ITM at SA, and makes her third start off the layoff. Has been shooting bullets in the morning, and after her last race, there was a :34 flat work to show readiness. The pace should be hot, and the trainer is a “wagering barn”, who likes to back his runners. She could be tough to deal with, and if the morning works are any indication, I like the way things are heading.

Turfway Park

Race #10 – The $50,000 Dust Commander Stakes -1 mile – 5:31 p.m. EST

#12 Proceed Bee (4-1) – Rodney Prescott in the saddle for Scott Becker, and they make the turf to poly move with this runner. 3/3 ITM at TP, and drops in from G-3 company out of the J.B Conley. 1 1/8 to a mile, and this guy won the $50k Prairie Bayou Stakes at TP. 6/6 ITM on the poly, and he won from the 10 post last out at TP.
