I’ll Have Another played the role of spoiler in the Santa Anita Derby this year, prevailing by a nose over Creative Cause in a thrilling stretch battle.  If he gets a good position and doesn’t get caught too wide, this colt has shown game determination in the homestretch that will help him survive that last furlong in the Kentucky Derby.  Even without a super fast pace, he has the talent to run down the front runners.

In his past two races, I’ll Have Another was guided by the up-and-coming Mario Gutierrez, a top rider in Vancouver out to prove himself on the US racing scene. Together, he and I’ll Have Another will fly under the radar but have a very solid chance on the first Saturday in May.
