The owner-trainer-jockey team that brought you Animal Kingdom last year is back again with the talented bay, Went the Day Well.  This is a horse that despite winning his last two races convincingly won’t likely get a lot of respect at the betting window.  He will be making a huge step up in class, and that looks to be a huge hurdle for him.

His style of running off the pace will suit the pace for this race and the distance shouldn’t be a huge deal for him.  His sire Proud Citizen ran an enthusiastic second in the 2002 Derby for D. Wayne Lukas with a similar running style.
