Creative Cause narrowly lost the Santa Anita Derby to I’ll Have Another, and this west coast invader is out to prove his worth.  By the prominent sire Giant’s Causeway, his genes are loaded with sustainable speed from his dam’s side as well, as Dream Of Summer won multiple Grade 1 races during her career.

This will be California-based trainer Mike Harrington’s first Kentucky Derby, but Harrington brings decades of experience to the table and would not be here if Creative Cause didn’t have a solid chance.  Though he may not have had any spectacular blowout races, Creative Cause is consistently in the money, and able to overcome wide trips.  He is more than patient enough to bide his time behind the pace and hit the wire for the roses.
