Belmont

On Friday, the main track was good and the turf was yielding. With the E-Z Win Forms, if anything changes on the weather scene you can download a brand new set of predictions, that take all of the currnet factors into account.

Race #7 – The 65th Running of the G-1 Frizzette – 1 mile – 4:02 p.m. ET –

**** THIS RACE BEGINS THE $300,000 PICK-FOUR ****

There is a compact field of 7 fillies going to post, and there is a heavily backed gal who has yet to find her fastest gear.

#7 – Dreaming of Julia (2-5) = A two-year-old daughter of A.P. Indy comes from the Todd Pletcher barn. He was at Keeneland on Friday, and said he was going back to Belmont after the races. John Velsquez in the saddle, and she won by 16 1/4 last out in the Meadow Star. Her style beckons for an upclose trip, and after watching last out, she should be able to rate a bit if needed. 1/1 over an off-track, and the same over the oval. If ther is a single today, she will be my start.

Race #8 – The 141st Running of the Champagne – 1 mile – 4:34 p.m. ET

#5 – Fortify (6-1) = Ramon Dominguez in the saddle for Kiaran McLaughlin. The barn has impressive numbers going from a sprint to route, and over 39% doing this for a second time. Beaten favorite, and faces some right back today. But why is he 6-1? One short effort does not make me toss it in. Bravo to Dominguez is a plus.

#4 – Archwarrior (5-2) = Velasquez and Pletcher right back, and a very impressive win last out under hand urging.

#2 – Shanghai Bobby (3-1) = Rosie back in New York, and she won the Hopeful aboard this guy very strongly. 1/1 at Belmont, and shoulkd come rolling late.

Race #9 – The 63rd Running of the G-1 Jamaica Handicap – 1 1/8 on the turf – 5:06 p.m. ET

I am planning on a turf course with cut. You know, soft, soggy, or anything but fast. For my ticket, I am going to toss out a 4-5 shot with Dullahan. Dale Romans is hoping for firm going, and I think the softness will help them make a decision.

#4 – Cogito – Lanfranco Dettori in the irons, and if he rides here and wins the ARC. He is the man !! – Up for Brian Meehan, and gets first lasix, and blinkers on today. Toss out his last effort, and this shipper looks serious. Redaam Racing LLC look to get lucky on this day.

#5 – Summer Front (5-1) = Ramon Dominguez up for Mr. Clemente. Comes back off a freshner, and they win 22% with rest. 2/2 at Belmont, and the last work bullet seals him in for me.

Race #10 – $15,000 claimers- 5:38 p.m. ET

#2 – My Man Dan

#3 – Copper Tiger

#9- Trumpet Man

#6  -Springcourt

Ticket Cost =1 X 2 X 3 x 4 = $24 for a $1
