There is nothing like having three outta’ four in the p-4. It feels like you have just had your foot run over by a donut truck. But as luck would have it, there are some good races this Saturday, and a $250,000 TVG Pick-Four on the menu. I have picked myself up, and dusted myself off. It is time to get handicapping.

Betfair Hollywood Park

Race #7 – The G-2 Hollywood Turf Cup – 1 1/2 on the turf – 6:35 p.m. ET

#4 – Granduer (5-2) = Garrett Gomez in the irons, and this gelding closes lights out. Drops down a notch from the G-1 Hollywood Derby, and was a beaten favorite last out.

#7 – Bourbon Bay (7-2) = Mike Smith up for Neil Drysdale. 5/6 ITM at Hollywood, and 6/8 at the distance. It takes a tactical rider to navigate 1 1/2, and they have the man in the saddle.

#10 – Kindergarten Kid (8-1) = J.J. Castellano in the driver’s seat for Peter Miller. He fits in the race, and toss out that last effort in the B/C Turf.

Race #8 – Mdn Sp Wt – 6f – 7:05 p.m. ET

#3 – Brokered (6-1)

#2 -Kochees (20-1)

#12 – Tiz the Truth (7-2)

#6 – Battled (3-1)

#9 – Let Em Shine (6-1)

Race #9 – The G-1 Cashcall Futurity – 1 1/16 – 7:35 p.m. ET

#1 – He’s Had Enough (9-2) = Mario Gutierrez up for Doug O’Neill. This colt by Tapit has shown some promise, and was gunning down Shanghai Bobby last out. He is maturing, and comes back to synthetic surfaces again.

#4 – Carving (8-1) = Speedy sort for Baffert and Martin Garcia. They can wire this field, but will have to hold off late runners.

#6 – Violence (7-2) = Castellano and Pletcher team up, and now you know why they are in California. The race in the Nashua was strong, and makes his second off the layoff. They must have confidence to make the trip.

Race #10 – Mdn Claiming $20,000 – 6 1/2f – 8:05 p.m. ET

#2 – Bandini’s Rogue (4-1)

#4 – Wild Side Story (7-2)

#8 – Demand Success (12-1)

Ticket cost = $67.50 for a  50-cent version
