There is nothing like trip to “Sweet Home Chicago” for some exciting racing action. But, if you can’t make it. – No problem… Winning Ponies is giving you a little something to consider as you are grabbing your E-Z Win Forms for the weekend!

Arlington Park

Partly sunny with a high of 59 degrees. Sounds like a perfect day for the ponies!

Race #3 – Starter Alw $25,000 – 1 mile on the turf – 3:04 p.m. ET

#1 – Bin Exclusive (7-2) = Mike Smith gets the call for Mike Maker. This filly comes fresh off a claim at Gulfstream Park, and Maker wins 31% right back with new runners to his barn. She has speed to burn, and Smith may get a perfect trip saving ground along the rail as he wins 16% on the weeds.

Race #5 – Alw $39,000 – 1 1/16 on the turf – 4:08 p.m. ET

#2 – Roi Le Roy (6-1) = Seth Martinez is the pilot for Frank Kirby. 8/16 ITM at AP, and is 5/9 going the distance. This son of Royal Academy is making his second off the layoff, and should be a closing factor if the pace plays honest.

Race #6 – Mdn $38,000 – 1 mile on the turf – 4:38 p.m. ET

#8 – Finura (4-1) = Joao Moreira in the irons for Wesley Ward. He is the leading rider in Singapore, and today he gets his acid test at AP. A filly by Dixie Union who showed some speed her first try, and was over-matched at a long distance at Keeneland. Cuts back for a trainer who wins 25% with his shippers, and 22% Mdn Sp Wt runners.

Race #7 – The (G-3) Arlington Matron Stakes – 1 1/8 – 5:08 p.m. ET

#2 – Ice Cream Silence (6-1) = Joe Rocco Jr. gets the nod for Rusty Arnold. This daughter of Street Sense won last out at Keeneland going 1 1/16, and they usually closed during the meet going the short stretch. 3rd off the layoff, and she is 2/2 ITM on synthetic. Arnold is a very solid trainer, and his filly appears to enjoy the poly. Good price play here…

Race #9 – The (G-3) Hanshin Cup – 1 mile – 6:08 p.m. ET

#9 – Mister Marti Gras (3-1) = Eddie Perez in the saddle for Chris Block. With all of the early foot in here, this gelding should enjoy the fractions. 2/2 ITM at AP, and 4/4 ITM on the synthetic surfaces. Makes the turf to poly run, and Block wins a crisp 26% on this move. If it gets hot, or honest all the way around. He will be a player in the final outcome of the race.

Race #10 – The (G-3) Arlington Classic – 1 1/16 on the turf – 6:38 p.m. ET

#8 – Admiral Kitten (3-1) = Mike Smith aboard for Mike Maker. This son of Kitten’s Joy exits a solid effort in the G-2 American Turf at CD, and is in good hands. Maker wins 20% of his turf races, and Smith is 43% ITM with this conditioner. Nice price for a Kitten’s Joy runner for Ken and Sarah Ramsey.

There is a great card on tap, and this is a good starting point for you to apply your E-Z Win Forms. I like to get you thinking about the races, and always be sure to pay close attention to the tier levels. There are many nuggets of wisdom, and Winning Ponies is locked and loaded for the day.
