Last week I tried my hand at a place parlay. The wager felt good, and sounded even better. But the dreaded one in and one out sent me packing for round two. I am in my second weekend, and I’m stretching out to nail the pick-four at Belmont this Saturday. Last week I couldn’t get two, but this week the E-Z Win Forms will take me to the promise land as I am crafting a nice ticket. Wish me luck!!

Belmont Park

The weather forecast calls for 75 degrees and partly

Race #7 – The G-1 Vosburgh Invitational – 6f – 4:13 p.m. ET

#2 – Justin Phillip- (3-1) = John Velasquez up for Steve Asmussen. His Last Race Rating is a 62, and owns the “Monster Workout” tab.

#1 – Forty Tales – (7-2) = J.J. Castellano up for Todd Pletcher. Has a field best Last Race Rating of 62+, and sports the “Should Improve” banner. He was caught 6-wide last out, and he will be rolling late in the lane.

#8 – Private Zone (4-1) = Martin Pedroza in town for Doug O’Neill in this heat. He makes his second start away from Meydan, and shipping to New York is a good sign.

Race #8 – The G-1 Flower Bowl Invitational – 1 1/4 on the turf – 4:45 p.m. ET

#1A – Laughing (8-5) / #1 – Tannery = Jose Lezcano on the 1A, and J.J. Castellano aboard the closer with tannery. The daughter of Dansili can put them to sleep on the front end. Her Turf Class Rating is a field best 37.1 – If she gets leg weary, her entry mate Tannery can come flying like the wind with a  Last Race Rating of 68+.

#2 -Mystical Star (4-1) = Junior Alvarado up for Christophe Clemente, and ships back after a win at Kentucky Downs.

#3 – Somali Lemonade (8-1) = Luis Saez in the irons for Michael Matz. I have been looking for a big run from this gal, and she sports the “Should Improve” banner.

Race #9 – The G-1 Joe Hirsch Turf – 1 1/2 on the turf – 5:17p.m. ET

#2B – Real Solution (8-5) = Joe Bravo aboard for Chad Brown, and sports a hot 60 ++ Last Race Rating, and two other power entry mates with Big Blue Kitten and Joe’s Blazing Aaron.

#7 – Little Mike (10-1) =  Mike Smith in town for Dale Romans. A real pace setter, and can be awfully tough on the hook.

#5 – Twilight Eclipse (7-2) = J.J. Castellano for Thomas Albertrani. Ran a tough race last out, and owns a 31.5 Turf Class Rating.

Race #10 – The G-1 Jockey Club Gold Cup – 1 1/4 – 5:49 p.m. ET
