Santa Anita

The weather should be perfect in the 50’s, and if there is any rain in the forecast it should hold off until later in the evening.

There is a $500,000 Late Pick-Four covering races 6-9 on the card. – Here is a little sampling on the house to help with your handicapping. – Look at it like this. If there are four races, and we’ve given you two races with free E-Z Win Selections. All you have to do is download the card and get ready to enjoy a quality day of horse racing.

Race #7 – O.C. $62,500 – 1 1/16 on the main track – 6:33 pm EST

#6 – Follow Me Crev (8-1) = Alonso Quinonez in the irons for Vlad Cerin. He rolls in looking to make it three-in-arrow and owns the top Last Race and Composite Ratings in the field with 57 /49 respectively. His handicapping icons show “Moving up in Class and Has Improved.” – Add in a very nice work over the SA oval and you have a real player at a sweet price.

#7 – Boozer (8-1) = Gary Stevens has the call and this guy is making the turf-dirt move. Trainer Mark Glatt is ITM (38%) on this change, and comes in fresh sporting the “Layoff of 45 Days” icon. His Last Race Rating is a very respectable 52. – Anytime Stevens is on deck you have to respect at this price.

#11 – Life’s Journey (20-1) = Abel Lezcano handles the assignment and is winning at a (20%) clip at the meet.  His LRR and Composite are 51+ and 51. Very solid indeed and must be respected in a wide open affair. He shows the “Turf to Dirt and Moving up in Class” icons, and cutting back inn distance from 1 3/8 may be just what the doctor ordered.

Race #9 – Claiming $8,000 – 6f on the main track – 7:33 pm EST

#4 – Love De Car (9-2) = Santiago Gonzalez (22%) teams up with Kristin Mulhall (50%), and both are doing very well at the meeting. He owns the top LRR and CR of 55 and 50, and sports the “Has Improved and Dropping in Class” handicapping icons.  He just got beat at the $12,500 range and should enjoy the lesser company today.

#14 – Gnarly Dude (8-1) = Bejarano in the saddle (20%), and the drop in class makes him ultra respectable. His LRR and CR are very solid at 52 and 51, and shows the “Dropping in Class” icon.

#8 – Where’s My Voucher (20-1) = A solid outsider at a price you just can’t pass. His LRR and CR are a pair of 51’s respectively and shows the “Layoff of 45 Days and Dropping in Class” icons shipping in from Emerald Downs. Trainer Jeff Metz wins (20%) with his shippers, and you don’t want to leave him off your ticket !

Nothing like a little food for thought ! – Now all you have to do is download the rest of the E-Z Win card and sit back and enjoy. There are two graded stakes with the (G-3) Sham and (G-2) San Pasqual sandwiched in the middle of the $500,000 pick-four, and both races may hold some very nice value with the top tier selections alone. – So what are you waiting for ? – Post time is 3:30 pm EST for the first race !
