I’ve had the pleasure of calling almost 5,000 races in my six of seven years at Belterra Park. – I had to take a season off for a medical issue, but I’m back in action. I watch every horse break from the gate and make notes for who to watch next time out. – With that in mind, here are some free selections from the “birds-eye” view in the Crow’s Nest. – Best of luck my friends!

Race#1 – #3 – Janet’s Mae = She has been knocking on the door and Edgar Paucar looks for his 3rd win of the meet. 2nd time off a layoff as a beaten chalk last out.

Race#2 – #3 – Girlinthefireplace = Drops in class for Tim Hamm and 3rd time off the layoff yields a 25% win percentage. Frank Reyes is aboard and they win 23% as a team.

Race#3 – #2 – Arareco Lake = He is 3/3 ITM over the course and Agustin Gomez stays aboard. CG Racing is winning 33% as the trainer at the meet.

Race#4 – #2- Dad’s Yankees = Speedy runner who is 1/1 at BtP and trainer Craig Sweeting is winning 50% from a small sampling. Add in a sharp work and all systems are go!

Race#5 – #1 – Distinctive Flower = Speedy gal drawing the rail on a big drop in class. Mojica is aboard for Larry Smith and he’s going to be tough to catch. A beaten favorite last out and the barn comes back to win 25%.

Race#6 – #4-Homeroom Angel = Drops in class making a 3rd-lifetime effort. – 2nd time Lasix for a solid trainer and hot hand in the saddle with Colon.

Race#7 – #5 – A Lot of Spunk = Early speed runner making a 3rd off the layoff run. She is 3/3 ITM at BtP for hot trainer Thom Drury who just notched his 500th career win a few weeks ago.

Race#8 – #6 -Mine Til Dawn = Hails from the barn of talented trainer Michale McCarthy who won the G1 Preakness this year. They are stabled at Turfway Park and ship over to grab a maiden win at first asking with talented turf rider Julie Burke in the saddle.

Best of luck and enjoy the day! – Your friends at Winning Ponies!
