No matter what happens in New York, I still love the circuit. I have heard all is well, and then you hear that they may roll up the game for a while. They have a bailout loan, and you know Saratoga has to run. Or, do they? Anyway, I still love the action….

Belmont Park

Race #1 – #4 Primed to Be Ready (5-2).

Dominguez is in the saddle, and he teams up with Gary Contessa (24% winners, and 59% ITM).  3/5 lifetime, and back in against New York company. 3rd off a layoff, and goes up in class. Heavily bet last out, and that is a good sign. Gets 7 panels from 6 last out, and is a very good value with a red-hot rider.

Race #3 – #2 Starr West (5-2).

David Cohen gets the call, and David Jacobson is the trainer at 21%. 2/2 ITM, and lost a very “tight finish last out.”  That was the official comment line, and it sounds like the chart caller had a bet! 2nd off a layoff, and the barn is a 19% winner on this angle. The dam was 100% with her babies, and has 6 starters, 5 winners and 2 stakes winners. Not bad cookin’ if you ask me.. I would look for an honest effort, and hope that the chart man does not hammer too big at the windows…

Race #9 – #2 Fu San (2-1).

Maragh for Kimmel, who is rolling at 44%. Get a load of this….Drops in class, gets first blinkers, and had a sharp workout. What more do you need? I love to see a great workout after an equipment change.. Her dam has 6 turf winners, 10 starters, 7 winners and one stakes winner. Nice breeding, eh? Go get some, we’ll talk later…..

******Player Beware ******

The Pick Four looks chalky, and with Fanny Freud in the 7th at 4-5, this P-4 could be easily hit. I would not put a hunk into it, or you may end up owing the clerk money when it hits. But, if it beats the fav, you will get paid by a check, as it will be big.. Be sure to run it against the tier levels, as WP has this place clocked…
