I like the Buckeye State. The little oval along the River can give out some exciting action. I like playing the smaller ovals to do some spot plays for cash. They can be mixed in with the other tiers, and we can make hay while the sun shines.

River Downs

Race #1 – #2 Possibi (1-1)

Outzs aboard for Woodard, and the goal for this team is to win the title that ends this Saturday. They have scored at 32% and 62% ITM. Drops in from claiming 8,000 – down to claiming 4k. 3rd start off a layoff, and this shipper rolls at 24%. Hot jockey/trainer combo winning at 14% and 19% ITM.

Race #3 – #6 Indys Reality (9-5)

Sergio Figeroa up for Ivan Vasquez. Vasquez is one of the good guys for scoring on the circuit when you least expect, and this time he looks good. 2/2 at River Downs. Very speedy runner here that can get the hook and not look back. The drop against Ohio company is a real plus, and when you make a wager, it is an angle that needs to be held.

Race #9 – #4 Lemel (5-2)

Outzs and Woodard again, and that can take its toll at the windows. Stakes placed mare, and she has dropped two winners, and has 8 starters and 6 winners. Dirt to turf switch, and this could be a factor. Ships in from Churchill, and Woodard will drop in a stakes horse to grab the trophy. I would bank on them getting the gold, and you might as well be a part of the winners.

Enjoy the action, and keep in mind this week is important to Woodard. Also, keep in mind Charlie Lawson as a major player, as he has saddled far fewer than Woodard and is right on his heels for the title….
