Map of OhioThe Buckeye State has a few small tracks running on Tuesday that can bring some wagering magic your way. Overall, the favorite winning percentage is over 40%, and you have to find value by using multi-race gimmicks.

Thistledown / River Downs – Tuesday

Race #1 – #6  Silver Label (9-5)

Yamil Rosario in the irons (26% a winner). Made a middle move last out, and was just beaten. The last two races look like a solid form cycle, and that is a watched item with cheaper runners. The rider has been 14 / 15  in the last 7 days.  As I mentioned above, the races yield a heavy chalk players’ delight. So, take what you can find and go to the bank. It was just yesterday that I saw a $58,000 show wager in the pools that held around $15,000 in the win and place pools. Keep your eyes peeled, as you will see these wagers at small tracks looking for that nickle on a dollar payout…..

Race #2 – #5  Silver Marina (1-1)

Perry Outzs (29%) in the saddle for Larry Holt (33%). Together they do very well, at a 30% win clip. 4/4 ITM at River Downs, and this 3-yr-old filly is making the turf to dirt switch. Many handicappers look for surface changes, and Holt knows his game. Dropping down in class, and I would look for an up close stalking trip with Outzs to pounce down the lane. If the pace is soft, you can bet that Perry will find his way to the lead.

Race #3 – #4 Ann of Castleman (4-1)

Luis Gonzalez in the saddle (24%) for Adolfo Exposito (30%). 4/6 ITM at Cleveland, and this runner jumps out very well. He just gets leg weary down the lane, and the change in distance, from 6 f back to 5 1/2 f, may be just what the doctor ordered. Beaten favorite last out, and that gets the barn a 35% win clip.

Good luck!
