TBD is a solid oval, and the runners have been rising over the past few years as one of my favorite winter ovals. Enjoy, as TBD offers great value with full fields, and competitive horses.

Tampa Bay Downs – Wednesday

Race #1 – #7 Webster (9-5)

Ships in from Chicago for Wayne Catalano. They roll with 27% of the shippers, and dropping down two classes gets them 33%. McFadden is a decent rider, and Catalano must see that he fits as he is an ex-rider, and one helluva horseman. Everywhere he saddles, you can count him in the money. Turf to dirt is a nice angle, and them made him 9-5 for a reason…..

Race #2 – #2 Step Sister (2-1)

Luis Garcia in the irons for Dale Bennett (50%). Ships in from Chicago, and all horses around the globe do well coming from Chi-town. Was tossing his head down the lane last out, and made an incredible move to look like a winner. Beaten favorite, and I like this play back.  1 1/16 back to 6 panels, and I like his looks. Bennett is a solid man, and he will cure whatever bothered him last out.

Race #5 – #2 Manchurian High (9-2)

Centeno in the saddle for Bill Phipps. Look at his turf efforts, and you will see a G-3 entry at Saratoga, and this race produced some nice horses. 3 back, he faced Kantharos and he is looking to better himself on the way to Churchill in May. Huge dropper from graded company to mdn sp wt, and now mdn 32k…. Go figure….. I think the drop and rider will get the job done nicely, and if he has one drop of class, Centeno will find it at a price better than expected.

Race #8 – #3 See I A (5-2)

Chi-town shipper for Jamie Ness at 30%. Dropping in class, and Leandro Goncalves is in the boot. He can flat out horseback. The drop, and 4/7 at TBD sells me nicely. I think we will see his best effort at this level and Ness brings them ready.

Good luck!
