Gulfsteam Park – Wednesday

Race #1 – #4 Game On (3-1)

One trip last year at GP gives him some balance, and he hails from the barn of Wayne Catalano (21% a winner at Gulfstream). Add in the services of Paco Lopez, and they have teamed up 3/3 in the last 365 days as a tandem. The 180 day-off icon, and dropping in class helps build confidence. They make an attempt again after a slow start, and switches riders from Eddie Nunez.

Race #6 – #9 Platinumplus (5-1)

Barclay Tagg brings this mare to the gate. He wins 48% with his turf runners, and 46% off a winning last effort. If you roll your mouse over the rider and trainer, you will see all of this info to help you build your case. J.J Castellano (15%) in the irons, and is a 48% ITM rider over the weeds. I like the price, and the last race work was solid, as you will see the monster workout icon, and moving up in class mark. I take this as confidence in the runner’s abilities, and we may just see a good run at a nice price.

Race #7 – #10 Holiday Flare (3-1)

A Harlan’s Holiday filly who is in the hands of trainer of the year Todd Pletcher. Johnny V in the saddle, and the current meet has yielded a 22% win rate. A beaten favorite, and Pletcher scores at 58% on this move alone. She ran a solid 3rd place effort, and switches from Coa to J.V….  I like this gal, and the price at 3-1 is attractive…
