Who says there is no such thing as a free lunch? Here are a few runners on Thursday that deserve a really hard look before making your final decisions. I am on a mission, and let’s get on the bus and go in for the big score and build a bankroll for the weekend.

Fair GroundsFair Grounds – Thursday

7th Race – 1 1/16 Miles – Maiden Special Weight – 4:43 p.m. EST

#1 Henny One (9-2) – Shane Sellers in the saddle for Josie Carroll. 2nd off the poly at Woodbine, and this is one of my favorite angles as the synthetic gets runners tight and ready. Draws the rail and had an even effort with no late kick last out. The rejuvenated Sellers is back, and you better take this guy seriously. Go back to our “Winning Ponies” radio show archive and listen to his radio interview. He was on the comeback then, and he is ready to score.

8th Race  – 1 Mile and 70 Yards – Optional Claiming $40,000 – 5:15 p.m. EST

#3 Cease (7-5) – Miguel Mena in the irons for the red-hot Al Stall (24%). Cuts back from a mile and 3/4, and drops in from graded company. I guess that is why the odds are short, and if he is half of his past, this should be a paid workout. Mena fits, and Al Stall is Mr. Fair Grounds. This looks like a single in multi-race gimmicks.

So, there are two races to take a peek, and as always, be sure to consult your E-Z Win Forms from WinningPonies.com as they will have a wagering plan to get the bang for your buck. Be sure to check back on Friday as we will be previewing the weekend action.  As always, best of luck and may your winners be many and photos be few!
