The dog days of August are upon, and it won’t be long until we narrow our focus for the Breeders’ Cup. Winning Ponies will be here all the way, and we want to make your wagering experience profitable. So kick back and grab your E-Z Win Forms for the weekend, and get your wagering blood pumping with some free selections!

Saratoga

The weatherman calls for 79 degrees, and a 30% chance of rain.

Race #2 – Mdn Sp Wt – 6f – 1:30 p.m. ET=

#2 – Stormy Henry (4-1) =John Velasquez takes over for trainer Michael Trombetta. The trainer notes may be all you need to follow: – Adds blinkers / wins 25%, Beaten favorite / wins 26%, and ships in from Parx / wins 20%. Add the services of Mr. Saratoga in the saddle, and he should be major player in here.

Race #5 –  Mdn Sp Wt – 1 1/16 on the turf – 3:03 p.m. ET

#1 – Raven Rise (5-1) = Junior Alvarado in the irons for John Kimmel. They are winning 29% the last month together, and her lone turf effort was a comprised trip. She closed nicely, but left plenty of gas in the tank. I like that she is drawing the rail, and last out she had the #9 post. She is bred to like the green, and I like the price in here.

Race#7 – Mdn Sp Wt – 6f – 4:07 p.m. ET

#3 – Dunkin Bend (5-2) = Joel Rosario in the saddle for Steve Asmussen. This is his second start after shipping in from Churchill. He has been working a regular clip in the mornings, and the barn scores at a 22% win clip with second starters. Rosario is a plus, and it is very tough to overlook these powerhouse connections.

Race#10 – The G-1 Whitney Invitational – 1 1/8 – 5:45 p.m. ET

#5 – Ron the Greek (6-1) = Jose Lezcano gets the nod for Bill Mott. With all of the potential early runners in this race, I am looking for a horse to come off the pace. “Ron” is 2/2 ITM at Saratoga, and is 10 /12 ITM at the distance. He has been away for 49 days, and fires fresh off the shelf. I like his regular work tab, and Mr. Lezcano fits him like a glove. You will know at the half if he has a chance. If they turn anything in the high 47’s, it will be lights out down the lane.

This is a little something to whet your appetite, and always defer to what the E-Z Win Forms have to say. They are chock full of information, and take all factors into account. If Mother Nature turns on a dime, there are no worries. Winning Ponies has a function that allows you to change up for any track changes, and you can get a brand new set of E-Z Win Forms by “clicking” the track condition tab. You have the power right at your finger tips. Best of luck this weekend from your friends at Winning Ponies!
