It is hump-day already, and the weekend can’t get here any sooner. Be sure to start your weekend off by tuning into our Internet show on Thursday evening, and then just download your data to prepare yourself. Sounds easy enough, so what are ya waitin’ for?  Whoa…. But before you get ahead of yourself, let’s take a look at a few runners on Wednesday at Saratoga. There just might be some nuggets to give you a head start!

We will begin in Race #1. There is a top tiered runner by the name of Roll the Di. She is 7-2, and looks solid. Add in the fact that this mare has changed jocks, and sports the “Double ++” symbol.  This means that big things are coming her way. She carries the “has improved” banner in her corner, and a work on 8/6/09 to get her ready. Rajiv Maragh is up for trainer Timothy Ritvo, who is winning at 29%. I like the fact she gets an extra half a furlong to run at, and the rider change may be the icing on the cake.

The next heat worth looking at is Race #9 The Adirondack Stakes. There is a top tiered runner who deserves some respect. #7 Beautician is not not just another pretty face. She is coming out of a troubled race, which you can see in the comment lines of the expanded PP’s. She was making a strong move in a G-3 race, and is expected to rebound well. Her speed rating for today is a 57, and her last two races yield the same number. This is respectable, and she should come rolling fast if the pace allows. Kent Desormeaux is in the irons, and Ken McPeek is a talented trainer. At 3-1, this gal looks like gold. Be sure to take a look at all tier levels in this race, as young runners offer great value.

So, what more do you want? Two on the house, and just a few days until the weekend. Be sure to examine all of the tier levels, and use the weather link to check on local weather. Remember, if Mother Nature turns sour, you can use the pull-down box to change the predictions if the weather / track conditions change.

Good luck!
