Race #1 – #2 Formal Dannie (5-2).

Yuri Yaranga in the saddle for Joe Woodard. They win at a 40% clip, and 73% ITM. Was a beaten favorite last out, and that is a good playback, as the barn wins at 28%. Mountaineer last out, and now runs in Columbus. Been away from the races for 90 days, and J.W. wins at a 42% rate. Worked a bullet two back at Turfway Park, where the poly track can tighten up a runner. I like the work, and for this level, a 35 flat for 3 panels is good stuff.

Race #8 – #1 – Classic Reward (5-2).

Azael DeLeon is up for Tim Hamm. They only win 50% together these last 60 days. Shipping in from Gulfstream, and jumps from a maiden claiming rank to maiden special weight. His dam dropped 8 starters and yielded 6 winners. Goes from 1 mile to 6 furlongs. Drops in from Florida company, and now he faces Ohio maidens. I like the move, and Tim Hamm does good work in Florida.

Hawthorne

Race #4 – #7 – Dunscombe (9-5).

3rd off a layoff is a player’s angle. 10/13 at Hawthorne, and Chicago seems to agree with him. Inez Karlsson in the saddle for Wayne Catalano.  They do very well at what they attempt. Both are winning at near 30%. Beaten favorite last 0ut, and worked a bullet on 3/8. Add all of this up, and they have scored a sweet 29% as a team getting their picture taken.
