I have woke up from my B/C nap, and I am on the prowl for building a sweet bankroll if the Wagering Gods allow. I will start my journey in New York, and end up in the bluegrass state. So, get your E-Z Win Forms and let the games begin!

Aqueduct

Race # 4 – Claiming $16,000 – 1 1/16 on the turf – 1:47 p.m. ET

#7 – Bluegrass Rumor (7-2) = Joel Rosario aboard for trainer Dale Romans. She has been off since breaking her maiden at Saratoga on the weeds. I normally give them a race, but her style fits and the class level is not too demanding. Her last race is a “key race” with 4 out of thr last 8 starters coming back to do well. A very nice work on 10/6 at Belmont going 47.1 – Romans is a patient trainer, and he should have her ready to be a major pace player in this event. Her mdn effort last out was over the inner turf at the same distance as today. I am going to use her with the fast closing #1 – Little Red Rider with Dominguez as the pilot, and #10 – Ezpz Lemon Squeeze (6-1) from the outside, and she has been facing better.

Race #5 – Mdn $35,000 – 6f – 2:16 p.m. ET

As John Engelhardt says on the Winning Ponies radio show, ” if your gonna betem’ you gotta box them.”

#1 – National Prayer (5-2) = Dominguez up for Mike Hushion. They are winning 44% at the “Big A,” and you have to factor that into the mix. This 2-yr-old drops in class, and gets the rail. Hushion wins 33% going down to mdn claimers, and 28% making the second start off a layoff. I am looking for an up close effort, and hope this son of Songandaprayer wires them. I am going to use him with: #3 – The Truth and KG (6-1) = The bug boy Ortiz is up for Rudy Rodriguez off a claim, and he wins 21% on this move. Also, I am using #8 – Armor (6-1) = Cornelio Velasquez in the saddle for Bill Mott, and they are dropping for the second time as a beaten favorite last out.

Churchill Downs

#12 – Buffalo River Gal (4-1) = Leandro Goncalves up for Greg Foley, and this gal is a “horse for the course” going 2/2 with wins at CD. She was a beaten favorite last out at Hoosier, and looks to rebound on her home court.  The selling point is 4/4 ITM at the distance, and she looks like a player.

Race #6 – Mdn Sp Wt – 6f – 3:04 p.m. ET

#8 – Bemata (2-1) = Bridgmohan in the saddle for Al Stall, and they are 3/3 ITM as a team at Churchill this meet. This grey colt made up some ground over the speed favoring Keeneland, and finished 3rd that day. Makes the poly to dirt transfer, and Stall wins 28% with his mdn second timers.

Let’s kick off the weekend with some good looking runners. Be sure to consult your E-Z Win Forms for value that will add steam to your exotics. Until Saturday, best of luck, and may your winners be many and your photos be few!
