Race #6 – The (G-3) Iowa Oaks – 1 1/16 – 9:46 p.m. ET

 

#1 – Seaneen Girl (5-1) = Leandro Gonclaves in the saddle for Bernie Flint. She makes the turf – dirt move, and a very capable pilot. The handy handicapping icons are: “Bute On,” “Turf-Dirt,” and owns the “Has Improved” sign. She has seen a better quality of runner, and sports a “56 Last Race Rating,” and a “51 Composite Rating.” Her numbers don’t lie, and the change of scenery may do the trick.

 

Belmont Park

The weather should be high in the 80’s, and there is a 60% chance of storms.

With the weather looking wet on Friday, and a high chance of rain for Saturday. I changed the weather tab to wet-fast, and good for the turf. Now, if it is sunny and dry… All you have to do is “click” the weather tab, and change it fast and firm. The change of weather gives you the ability to adapt to Mother Nature.

 

Race #8 – The (G-2) New York Stakes – 1 1 /4 – 4:45 p.m. ET

#3 – Regalo Mia (8-1) = Luis Contreras aboard for Michelle Nehei. In the last year, they have teamed up 6 times with 5 of those ITM. This daughter of Sligo Bay cuts back in distance from 1 1/2 at Keeneland in the Bewitched Stakes. She sports the “Layoff of 45 Days,” and the ” Moving Up In Class” handicapping icons. She is 10/11 ITM, and owns a “70 Last Race Rating,  51 Composite Rating,” and a sweet “25.7 Turf Rating.”  I like her style, and the rider is winning at a 15% clip this meet at Belmont.

 

Race #9 – The (G-3) – Victory Ride Stakes – 6f – 5:17 p.m. ET

#1A – Kauai Katie (1-1) = John Velasquez in the irons for trainer Todd Pletcher. They are winning at a 30% clip in the last year. She cuts back in distance, and drops down in class against this field. You will see that in the “Should Improve,” and “Drops In Class” icons. This gal has a nice work over “Big Sandy,” and should enjoy the 6f distance. The other half of the entry of Teen Pauline is a lightly raced gal who has a bright future ahead. Add them up, and there may be a single in this race for gimmicks. Katie has a field best “60+ Last Race Rating, and 60 Composite Rating.”  She should be a handful to deal with today…..
