Nothing like a solid card of racing on Minnesota Derby Day! If you normally don’t have this track on your radar screen, that is just fine… Winning Ponies has your back! We have been on-fire lately, and you can check our recent “Big-Uns” to see what you have been missing. So sit back and grab your E-Z Win Forms, and enjoy a little glimpse “on the house” of some value packed racing that is just a click away.

Canterbury Park

The weather calls for 75 degrees, and only a 10% chance of rain.

Race #4 – Claiming $20,000 – 7 1/2f on the turf – 4:02 p.m. ET

#10 – De Novo (3-1) = This filly has the services of Alex Canchari for McLean Robertson. They have teamed up to win 33% as a tandem, and 18% on the green. She owns the “Three-Year-Old, and Dropping In Class” icons. She was a beaten favorite last out, and the barn comes back to win 27% on this move. Her Last Race Rating and Composite Rating are both 56, and she owns an honest 10.4 Turf Class Rating.  She has a versatile running style, and I am looking for a stalking trip from this daughter of Closing Argument.

Race #5 – Mdn Sp Wt – 5f – 4:31 p.m. ET

#1 – My Dandy Girl (3-1) = Ry Eickleberry in the irons for Miguel Silva, and they are winning at a 27% clip together. This first timer sports the “First Time Starter, and Monster Workout” icons. She has a field best 60 Race Rating, and draws the golden rail post. The barn is 43% ITM with two-year-old runners, and if the work is true. I see a solid effort today from this daughter of Real Dandy.

Race #8 – The Minnesota Oaks – 1 mile and 70 yards – 6:00 p.m. ET

#1 – Badge of Glory (5-1) = Scott Stevens and Bernell Rhone team up to bring their “A” game. She owns the field best 44 Last Race Rating, and a 42 Composite Rating. She sports the “Moving Up in Class” icon, and was an impressive winner in the Francis Genter last out. Canterbury looks to be her preferred track to run, and you can’t beat the post draw.

There is some value packed racing on the card, and not to worry if Canterbury is not on your list of tracks to follow. Winning Ponies has you covered, and let us take the guesswork out of your handicapping. Be sure to check out the E-Z Win Forms, as they offer a detailed look at the entire card. Enjoy the free selections, and we’ll see you in the winner’s circle!
