Oaklawn Park

Oaklawn Park

Nothing like a few on the house. Hopefully we can kick start your weekend, and WinningPonies can roll in and give better value. I am focusing on a few races that look good, and one in particular. So, hold on tight and here we go!

Oaklawn Park – Saturday

Race #9 – G-3 Azeri – 1 1/16 miles

I have one that sticks out like a sore thumb. That is #4 Havre de Grace.  She has the services of Ramon Dominguez, and is trained by Larry (I’m not retired) Jones. Been away from the races, and I think that the gals really make benefit of the time away. She has three bullet works from four starts, and is 4/4 ITM at Oaklawn Park.  She is as honest as the day is long, and should give a good account of herself, but will have to outduel Blind Luck. They may make a nice exacta box.

Race #10 – G-2 Rebel Stakes – 1 1/16 miles

Bob Baffert has The Factor in here to ensure an honest pace, and will be trying two turns for the first time. With all do respect, I don’t think he can get that last bit of distance. I am going to to take the ‘swayback special” in #9 Sway Away. If you saw his last race in the San Vicente, you should be taking note. The Factor was glad to see the wire, and Sway Away would have sold his oats for another 1/16th. That was his first start back, and I think we will see a blooming star have his chances. Been working well, and looks like a bear. Win, lose or no lunch money…. This is my big bet of the day. I am playing the two off angle, and the added ground with a top jock aboard.

Santa Anita – Saturday

Race #7-  G-2 – Santa Ana – 1 1/16 miles Turf

Bejarano has the call for Carla Gaines, and this girl is gutsy. She draws the rail and they are traveling a 1 1/16th on the weeds.  She always lays off, and going a 1 1/8 may allow her to settle up close. Bejarano knows the course, and she can easily sit in second or third and pounce at the 3/8ths pole. She likes the turf, and I think she will give a good account stretching out. #1 Malibu Pier looks to be the player, and just when you didn’t think she could get the distance, I see a top notch performance.

This should get you started, and you can check in with WinningPonies for the rest of the card, and put together some smokin’ hot exotics. The predictions have been doing well, and hopefully they can make your weekend profitable.

Best of luck!
