Monday is back, and it is time to do it all over again. There was an exciting weekend, but on Monday we are all even and the routine starts again…..
River Downs/Thistledown – Monday
Race #1 – #3 More Than Thought (8-5)
Believe it or not, this is the second choice in here. Tolentino up for Crutchfield, and they can hold their own. 10/14 at Rd, and you can throw out the last race at Churchill Downs. Outzs used to ride her, but there is a Woodard runner in here and he has first call. I think condition 5,000 could be a good spot, and you can bet that they will knock down the price on Woodard.
Race #4 – #1 Vision of Honor (9-5)
Outzs for Larry Holt. One thing about Perry is that he is honorable. He goes back a long way with Holt, and even though Woodard has a call in the race, he opts for his old friend. His agent named his second rider Ben Creed aboard for Woodard, and Outzs is second call at 9-5. He draws the rail, and they are winning at a 20% clip this meet. 6/8 ITM, and 3/6 at the distance. I like his chances, and Perry in the irons draws attention at the windows.
Race #7 – # 3 Cat Man (5-2)
Rosario in the saddle for Jamie Ness (48%). They hook up for a crisp 44% as a team, and this is the second off of the poly at Presque Isle Downs. Was a heavily backed play last out, and is 1/1 at TDN. 7/9 in 2010, and all systems point to go to the windows. I like this kid, and Ness was a guest on our radio show long ago. This 8-year-old gelding looks good, and I would watch the board for exotic action. This is the kind of play that makes a nice Monday!
