Belmont ParkOh, sweet New York…. I love the racing in the area, and with Saratoga closed, the regulars will ship back, and New York will take shape once again.

Belmont – Wednesday

Race #1 – #3 Nicole H (8-5)

Ramon Dominguez in the saddle for Mike Hushion. They are 7/9 in 2010, and comes two off the poly track. Ran an even 2nd last out, and Castro comes off and Ramon is up. This is a nice daughter of Mr. Greeley, and should be respected.

Race #3 – #5 Tahitian Warrior (1-2)

Cornelio in the saddle for Saeed bin Suroor. They are 2/2 at Belmont, and this is a sweet gelding that fits into the second leg of a P-4. To me, it looks like a free spot and I wanted to make you aware of this play in the gimmicks.

Race #6 – #2 Humilarity (5-2)

Edgar Prado up for Rudy Rodriguez (38%).  This is the first time to his barn, and they win 45% coming to his shed row. They must have some mighty fine chow over there, and it seems to work. Speedy colt dropping in class and flashes foot every time. Add in that he was a $325 sales purchase, and you would think that they had good things in mind for him all along.

Race #8 – #1 Just Ben (4-1)

Dominguez on the rail for Barclay Tagg (36%). 5/9 lifetime ITM, and the speed on the hedge may help. Interesting breeding that shows turf action from both sides. Affirmatif should take the action, and the price may be right today.

Good luck!
