I sure miss making the drive down to beautiful Lexington! – This is the best time of year to make the drive down I-75 with the leaves turning colors and the crisp cool air keeping you bundled. But, the next best thing to being at the track is sitting near your computer or device and watching and wagering on the races! – With that in mind, here are some free selections to get your inner-handicapper feeling good. “Bets” of luck my friends!

Keeneland

Race#1 – #2 – War Eagle’s Love = This daughter of Birdstone is 2 for 2 ITM at KEE and drops back in class. Corey Lanerie in the irons for Anthony Stephen who won a race at Mountaineer last night. I like to play run-backs at the short KEE meet as the horse generally takes to the oval. She gets a big jock change and looks to move forward.

Race#2 – #3 – Capital Call = 2nd time off a short layoff for Neil Drysdale and Florent Geroux in the saddle. He exits KyD and has a late-running style. Going 1 3/16 should be what the Dr. ordered and he’ll come calling late in the stretch.

Race #6 – #7 – Current = 2nd time off a short layoff and the 2nd start at the short KEE meet. This son of Curlin had a troubled trip last out and I’m looking for a cleaner trip and good things under Tyler Gaffalione who is winning 21% at the meet and 21% with his turf runners. Add in he comes from Todd Pletcher’s barn and things are looking up for today.

Race #7 – #3 – Sugar Love = She is a daughter of Candy Ride for Rusty Arnold and Julien Leparoux. She exits KyD and all runners have been doing well coming from the European oval. Dropping in class and getting added ground may be the answer for today.

Race #8 – #2 – Silver Slate = This son of Hard Spun has been off for 7 months for Steve Asmussen and Ricardo Santana. He has plenty of solid works over the CD surface. He may be preparing for racing at CD, but the drop-in class may have him ready to fire fresh.

Race #9 – #7 – Wentru =  Hails from the Brad Cox barn with Florent Geroux in the saddle. He comes in from KyD, and the barn wins 33% with 2nd time out grass races. He just missed over the undulating turf at KyD and they score at a 38% win clip going a turf route of ground.
