It’s gonna be a scorcher with heat and humidity, and with the Ohio River close, storms can pop up anytime.

 

Race#1

#1 -Amazing Dancer = 1st-time starter by Oxbow for Helen Pitts. – Her dam has 2 starters and 2 winners. Sonny Leon has the call today coming off works at Churchill Downs training track.

 

Race#2

#3 – Not Again Jackie = Late closer from the Doug Coyle barn making a 3rd off the layoff. – He is 2/2 ITM at BtP and ran a game effort at this level last out.

 

Race#3

#4- Ola Que Tal = Comes off a 7-month layoff for Paulo Lobo who is winning 33% – He drops down in class and the barn wins 27% with claimers.

 

Race#4

#3 -King Bing Hawk = Late runner who just missed last time out – Sonny Leon stays aboard and he is winning 19% at the meet.

 

Race#5

#5 – Destiny’s Darling = Ships back from Indy and has a perfect 5/5 ITM over the course – This mare is one of the top horses of the meet for starts and ITM finishes. –  Rolando Aragon stays aboard and he has been on fire for Michael Evans II winning 23%.

 

Race#6

#6 – Olho de Mel = Speedy filly for Paulo Lobo who wins 33% at the meet and switches to a high percentage rider with Luan Machado winning 22%.

 

Race#7

#3 – Distinctive Flower = Speedy mare by Flower Alley for Larry Smith. Perry Ouzts his go-to-rider is in the irons and will have her on the lead going into the casino turn. She is 11/14 ITM on the turf and 4/% ITM at Belterra Park.

 

Race#8

#5 – Aujara = is a first-time starter for Cirilio Gorostieta winning 35% and her dam was a stakes-winner who has 1 starter and 1 winner to her credit. The barn has been 3/3 ITM the past few weeks.
