The weather forecast calls for a chance of showers on both days and the temperatures are going to be dropping by mid-week. We’ll take a good look at the card and start getting a jump on our bankroll building for the weekend. – What are we waiting for? It’s almost post-time!

Belterra Park

Race#1

#3 – Cleverly Wicked = Late runner from the red-hot Eric Reed barn who is scoring at a 20% clip over the course and is 1/1 at Belterra. John McKee picks up the mount and McKee has been 14/21 ITM the past week.

Race#2

#4 – Honorable = Comes in from Presque Isle off the synthetic surface. This son of Constitution drops in class and first-time starters to the Teresa Connelly barn win 17% first out. I like synthetic runners returning to dirt and come back legged up and ready to strike.

Race#3

#6 – Powerful Moon = Fresh off the claim for trainer Larry Smith and Perry Ouzts. They are winning 33% as a team and Smith wins 18% with newcomers to his shedrow.

Race#4

#1 – Sweet Tootsie Lu = Gets 2nd time Lasix and the barn win 67% on the medication. The rail is winning at 24% and Eddie Dominguez in the saddle, and a big drop in class for this daughter of Tale of Ekati.

Race#5

#4 – Thunder Buggy = Ships back from Ellis Park on the class drop. Two races back was an impressive winner on the off-going at Belterra. Looks to enjoy coming back and trainer William Morey is winning 38% at the meet.

Race#6

#1 – Makescentstous = Eric Reed and John McKee team up and are shooting for four in a row with this filly. She is 3/3 ITM at BtP with two wins. The rail is winning 21% sprinting and McKee has been riding red-hot as of late.

Race#7

#10 – Sonnet = Hails from the Tim Hamm barn who is winning 25% and was a beaten favorite last out. Hamm adds blinkers and gets 2nd time Lasix. Add all this up and you may hit graduation day with Agustin Bracho in the saddle.

Race#8

#2 – Out of Pocket – Ships back from Presque Isle and goes synthetic to dirt today. She’s been knocking on the door and gets a drop-down in class. The rider/trainer combo has been 2/2 the past few weeks and trainer Caryn Vecchio scores 33% going a route to a sprint. Agustin Bracho has the call in here.
