[Free Picks] Saratoga 8/25 Travers Day (Races 7-10)

August 24th, 2007 by Horstradamus

Here is a Pick 4 ticket for Saturday 8/25 (races 7-10) which includes all the big races on the card. The ticket will be fairly expensive ($81 for $1) but it will probably pay big, especially if Street Sense doesn’t pull it off. You could also use the picks for the Pick 3 in races 7-9 or 8-10 for a cheaper investment ($27 for $1). There is also a Double in races 8-9 and races 9-10.

Race 7 (Bernard Baruch Handicap-G2): 12, 6, 4
Race 8 (King’s Bishop Stakes-G1): 8, 1, 7
Race 9 (Travers Stakes-G1): 5, 6, 4
Race 10 (Victory Ride Stakes-G3): 8, 6, 4

Good luck everyone!

At Saratoga Today: $5547 Pick 4, $720 Trifecta

August 22nd, 2007 by Horstradamus

In the 2nd race, our 2nd pick Syriana’s Song won and paid $5.60. In the 3rd race, our 2nd pick Tejida won and paid $9.80. In the 4th race, our 3rd pick Beam Of Love paid $12.80 to win. Finally, in the 5th race, our 3rd pick Love Cove paid a monster $30.80 to win. Without going more than 3 deep in races 2-5, you would have collected $479.50 for the $2 Pick 3 (races 2-4), $1181 for the $2 Pick 3 (races 3-5) and a WHOPPING $5547 for the $2 Pick 4 from races 2-5. Also, in the 5th race, if you used our top tier for 1st and 1st and 2nd tiers for 2nd and 3rd position, you could have collected $720 for the $2 Trifecta.

We have been DEMOLISHING Arlington Park today. After our 3rd pick won the 1st race and paid $9.80, we had the winner on top, Native Dress in the 2nd race (paid $6.60 to win). Our 3rd pick ran 2nd and our 4th and 5th picks rounded out the Superfecta which paid $1049.20 for $1. In the 3rd race, we had the first two finishers in our top tier (which included the $11.60 winner) and our 4th and 6th selections finished the $760.90 Superfecta (for $1). In the 4th race (which was moved off the turf), we nailed the COLD $153 Exacta with the $13 winner Boffo on top. With our 4th and 6th picks finishing the order, you would have collected a monster payout of $2045.40 for the $1 Superfecta. The $2 Pick 3 from races 1-3 paid $245.40 and the $2 Pick 3 from races 2-4 paid $394.40. We also had the $4.20 winner First Movement in the 5th. That gave us another rolling $2 Pick 3 of $413.80 and the VERY nice $1082 Pick 4 (for $2). In the 6th race, the $40 winner Gotta Good Feeling was our 4th choice. However, if you decided to box our top 4 for the Trifecta, you would have collected $1676.90 for a $1 Trifecta box. Not bad for a $24 investment.

Some Easy Scores at Saratoga Today

August 20th, 2007 by Horstradamus

We have been picking some nice hits at Saratoga these last few days. In the 4th race, we picked three first time starters in our top tier. That was the Trifecta, and paid $215.00. Not bad for a $12 box. It is unfortunate that there wasn’t a Superfecta in the race since our 4th pick ran 4th. Only at WinningPonies are we crazy enough to pick three first time starters on top. In the 5th race we locked on Savasana who paid $5.50 to win. If you used our 2nd tier behind (the next 4 horses), you would have cashed in on the $146.50 Trifecta (on a $24 bet). If you used an extra horse for 4th (the top horse of our 3rd tier - ranked 6th overall), you would have collected $707.50 for the $1 Superfecta. This easy winner also gave us the $2 Pick 3 for races 3-5 which paid a modest $50.50. In the 8th race, our top pick Karakorum Starlet won and paid $9.00. Our 2nd pick, Precise Lady finished 3rd. Scatkey ran 2nd and was at the bottom of our 2nd tier. If you took our top tier for 1st and the whole field (only 5 horses) for 2nd and 3rd, you would have collected $122 for a $1 Trifecta (which would have cost $36 to bet). Not a bad Trifecta at all for a 5 horse race.

At WinningPonies, we don’t discriminate against smaller tracks. We NAILED the $10,982.40 Pick 6 at Ferndale which incorporated races 5-10. We started off the 5th race (an Arabian race) with French Express, a $23.40 winner in our top tier. In the 6th race, our top pick Miss Feather River, won and paid $6.40. In the 7th race, our top pick was a BOMB. Billy Ballado paid $43.00 to win! We had smaller winners in the 8th and 9th races. In the finale, our 2nd pick Raise a Tune paid $11.60 to win.
